The UltimaTouch 1800 employs the latest touch technology in an open system workstation that is flexible, durable, and spill-resistant and can handle the most demanding POS environments. The new point-of-service system is ideal for restaurant, hospitality, concession, school cafeteria, convenience store and specialty retail applications. The UltimaTouch 1800 Series POS Touch Workstation combines sleek attractiveness and a bright 15" LCD touch screen with a retail-hardened, high quality plastic case. In addition to the sturdy and durable construction of the workstation case, vents and openings are strategically placed in the robust base to prevent spills and dust from damaging internal electronics. The UltimaTouch 1800 comes with the latest Intel processors. An embedded chipset provides for hardware configuration stability which virtually eliminates the need for constant application software change The electronics are designed around a reliable, standard MICRO ATX motherboard that provides an easy, cost-effective upgrade path as electronics evolve. Designed with the retail customer's needs in mind, an extensive selection of options allows the 1800 Series to be uniquely configured for your retail application. Options include a 3-Track Magnetic Strip Reader, an internal CD drive, integrated speakers, and an easy-to-read 2-line by 20-character customer display. The 1800 Series also has a unique, state-of-the-art fingerprint reader option which provides instant user verification with a simple touch of a finger. An available PCI slot provides the flexibility to add a modem, additional input/output ports or a wireless card. And for maximum convenience, most of the 1800 Series options are field-installable. The convenient rear door design of the 1800 eliminates complex cable routing and allows for quick access to multiple I/O ports for fast set-up and easy changing of peripherals. All units include 4 powered serial ports and 5 USB ports. Additionally, one USB port is conveniently located on the side of the unit for plug-in of a keyboard or mouse. A 24V cash drawer port, an Ethernet LAN port and a PCI slot are standard on all units.
